The KSW mixed martial arts promotion has announced several updates regarding its upcoming events in Rzeszów, Szczecin, and Gliwice. For the KSW 122 event in Rzeszów, Andrzej Grzebyk and Laid Zerhouni are scheduled to compete in a middleweight bout on October 10. The event will also feature a lightweight rematch between Marian Ziółkowski and Wilson Varela. This follows their April 2024 encounter, which Varela won via a second-round technical knockout after Ziółkowski suffered a shoulder injury. Changes were made to the welterweight title defense schedule. Adrian Bartosiński, originally slated to fight Adam Masaev at KSW 122, is now scheduled to defend his title against Tymoteusz Łopaczyk at the KSW 123 event in Szczecin, leaving Masaev waiting for a championship opportunity. Further championship bouts have been confirmed for later in the year. On November 21 at the Enea Arena in Szczecin, Valeriu Mircea will face Marcin Held for the vacant lightweight title. Mircea enters the bout as the number one ranked fighter following a knockout victory over Roman Szymański, while Held is the number two ranked contender. Additionally, the main event of XTB KSW 124 is set for December 19 at the PreZero Arena in Gliwice. Paweł Pawlak and Piotr Kuberski will compete in a highly anticipated unification bout to determine the undisputed middleweight champion. Kuberski, the current interim champion, noted that while the fight has been “nearly two years in the making,” his focus remains on preparation for the challenge.
