Kuba Wojewódzki launches solo podcast ‘WojewódzkiWojewódzki’

Overview

Polish television presenter Kuba Wojewódzki has launched his new solo podcast, ‘WojewódzkiWojewódzki’, following his professional split from Piotr Kędzierski. The project, hosted on Onet, Onet Audio, and YouTube, features independent interviews with a focus on direct questioning and unconventional topics. Shadia Nugud, commercial video and audio director at Ringier Axel Springer Polska, stated that the company is building its video and audio offerings around prominent personalities like Wojewódzki.

The debut episode, which premiered on October 12, featured guest Wojciech Cejrowski, a controversial traveler and commentator. The interview became heated when Cejrowski addressed Wojewódzki’s family background, specifically his father, Bogusław Wojewódzki, who served as a prosecutor during the Polish People's Republic (PRL) era.

Cejrowski made sharp remarks regarding the influence of being raised by a ‘resort child’—the offspring of officials from the former communist security apparatus—describing such an upbringing as a potential character flaw. Cejrowski further criticized the father’s past, stating that being raised by someone who ‘dealt with killing people’ impacts an individual. Wojewódzki defended his father, noting he handled criminal cases, and urged Cejrowski not to attribute criminal traits to him. The exchange highlighted a deep ideological divide between the two figures, as Cejrowski identifies as a conservative Catholic with right-wing sympathies.
