Following the primary examination period in mid-2026, the academic cycle in Egypt, Kuwait, and Palestine transitioned into results publication, second-round testing, and university admissions. In early August, Kuwait’s Eastern Province reported a 94.76% overall success rate for the 2025/2026 second-round intermediate certificate exams. Similarly, the Al-Azhar secondary school board in Palestine announced a 97.71% pass rate for its second-round results. In Egypt, the Thanaweya Amma (high school certificate) second-round examinations involved 211,908 students in the modern ~~system—comprising 125,720 in science, 25,901 in mathematics, 56,431 in arts,~~ system and ~~3,856 in the international system—alongside~~ 1,027 ~~students~~ in the old system. Despite the Prophet's Birthday holiday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that examinations would proceed as scheduled. Modern system testing concluded on August 27, while old system testing continued until August 31. Regarding higher education, the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in partnership with the Central Bank of Egypt, extended the application deadline for the ‘Future Scholars’ scholarship to September 4, 2026. In mid-September, the Ministry opened a third phase of the ‘reduction of alienation’ transfer process for high school, STEM, and Nile International School students. Concurrently, the Ministry prepared to release results for students with equivalent Arab and foreign certificates. By September 25, a second phase of transfer registration opened for technical diploma students from industrial, commercial, and agricultural schools, requiring requests via the electronic coordination portal by 7:00 PM on September 25, 2026. Students were instructed to print their ‘nomination card’ (بطاقة الترشيح) to complete enrollment, and the relocation phase for students with equivalent certificates has commenced.
