The Turkish drama series ‘Kızılcık Şerbeti’ returned to Show TV for its fifth season on September 18, 2026, following a six-month time jump. The new season, beginning with the 139th episode, introduced several cast changes, including Asena Keskinci taking over the role of Çimen and Murat Aygen joining as Lider. The production also faced controversy regarding the departure of Neslihan Yeldan, who expressed frustration that her character, Sevtap, was removed without a proper narrative conclusion. Plotlines have centered on economic tensions within the Ünal family and evolving character dynamics, such as a potential relationship between Kıvılcım and Lider. Recent developments include a medical crisis for Başak, internal leaks at Ünal Holding involving Yusuf, and a significant revelation from Salkım regarding a past incident. Viewership has seen fluctuations; the 140th episode experienced a ratings decline attributed to competition from a UEFA Nations League match between Turkey and France. While social media discussions have noted viewer fatigue regarding “repetitive storylines,” producer Faruk Turgut addressed the show's future by noting that while ratings below 6 pose cancellation risks, productions should conclude when their narrative arc is complete, though no specific end date has been set. As of late October 2026, the series continues its run, with the 144th episode scheduled for broadcast on October 23.
