La Laguna Tenerife has secured consecutive basketball victories in September and October 2026. On September 18, the team won the Costa Adeje Tenerife Top Training trophy by defeating Bilbao Basket 108-99 in overtime. Despite missing players Xavi López-Aróstegui and Bruno Fitipaldo, the team utilized an aggressive defense to secure the win. On October 3, La Laguna Tenerife secured their first Liga Endesa victory of the season with an 80-75 away win against Unicaja at the Martín Carpena arena. While Unicaja’s Kendrick Perry scored 23 points, Tenerife’s perimeter shooting was decisive, hitting 13 of 26 three-pointers. Key contributions included 18 points from Kyle Guy and 17 points from Marcelinho Huertas, who also recorded seven assists. A critical 10-0 run in the fourth quarter allowed Tenerife to extend their lead to 14 points and withstand a late push from Unicaja. The loss leaves Unicaja with two consecutive defeats at the start of the tournament.
