Political coordination between La Libertad Avanza (LLA) and the PRO party has progressed from territorial signals to formal strategic planning. Initially, the joint appearance of Karina Milei, Diego Santilli, and Sebastián Pareja at an event in Lincoln, Buenos Aires, was interpreted as a sign of growing coordination and potential electoral negotiations in the province. This coordination has since moved to the Casa Rosada, where Karina Milei is actively coordinating political and legislative strategies. The two parties have established a coordination table with meetings every 15 days to address parliamentary agendas in preparation for the 2027 elections. While the groups are working toward a potential electoral alliance, disagreements persist regarding the potential elimination or suspension of primary elections (PASO). These strategies are now manifesting through direct territorial deployment in Salta. The Executive Branch recently suspended scheduled meetings at Casa Rosada to facilitate an official trip to Salta, led by Karina Milei and Chief of Cabinet Diego Santilli. The delegation participated in the inauguration of Plant II of the Sal de Oro lithium project, involving governors Gustavo Sáenz and Raúl Jalil. This visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to expand lithium production to an annual scale of 100,000 tons. The presence serves a dual purpose: advancing industrial projects and securing provincial support for the national legislative agenda, specifically the proposed suspension of the PASO system. Reports suggest LLA may refrain from fielding candidates against local leaders like Governor Sáenz to secure this backing. Such an arrangement could obstruct the 2027 gubernatorial ambitions of Senator Emilia Orozco or Alfredo Olmedo if the national party withholds electoral support or official seals.
