La Liga football match results
Overview
Recent La Liga fixtures in Spain have seen varying results for Rayo Vallecano. On October 25, Elche CF secured an away victory against Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas, driven by two penalties and a goal from Germán Valera. This win extended Elche’s unbeaten run to four matches.
By October 31, Rayo Vallecano ended a three-match winless streak with a 3-0 home victory against Celta Vigo at the Estadio de Vallecas. Jorge de Frutos scored twice, with one goal assisted by Andrei Rațiu, and Unai López added a third in the 73rd minute via a long-range strike. The win moved Rayo Vallecano up to 11th place in the La Liga standings with 12 points. This match marked Celta Vigo’s first away loss of the season, during which they failed to register a single shot on target. While manager Claudio Giráldez attributed the result to defensive failures and a lack of intensity, Celta goalkeeper Ionut Radu received praise for several key saves. Celta captain Iago Aspas expressed disappointment with the defensive performance but remained optimistic about future fixtures. For Rayo Vallecano, goalkeeper Emil Audero recorded a clean sheet during his 90-minute appearance.
The fixture also served as a moment of truce between the club’s Bukaneros supporters and president Raúl Martín Presa. While the supporters participated in a tribute to the victims of the Urda railway accident, they opted not to provide their usual energetic animation due to ongoing grievances regarding club management.
