Spanish pop group La Oreja de Van Gogh is expanding its ‘Tantas cosas que contar’ tour to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary, featuring the return of original vocalist Amaia Montero. The group recently announced several festival appearances across Spain for 2027 and confirmed three consecutive concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for March 2027. During this period, the band also reached a digital milestone as their song ‘Rosas’ surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, making them the first Spanish act to enter the platform’s ‘Billions Club’. Following the initial tour announcements, the group confirmed they will visit Mexico in the summer of 2027. Vocalist Amaia Montero addressed fans via social media, stating, “México, nos vemos el próximo verano.” The band described Mexico as their “second home” and noted that a tour would not be complete without visiting the country. While the summer 2027 timeframe is confirmed, specific dates, cities, venues, and ticket pricing have not yet been released. This Mexican leg joins a broader Latin American schedule for March 2027 that includes stops in Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. This upcoming Mexican tour marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time Montero has performed in the country with the band since her departure in 2007. Her return to the group follows her rejoining in late 2025 after the departure of Leire Martínez. In October 2026, the group announced a new musical film project titled ‘Puedes contar conmigo’. Directed by Fernando González Molina and co-written by Miguel López Martínez, the romantic production is currently in the development and scriptwriting phase and will utilize the band’s hits as its narrative foundation. Producers for the film include Beltrán Gortázar, Domingo Corral, and Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson. As part of the tour, the band recently performed in Zaragoza for approximately 9,000 attendees.
