The state administration has set a target to increase electricity supply from less than 1,000MW to over 3,000MW by March 2027. This 2052, a blueprint comprising 447 initiatives across 21 strategic sectors. The plan aims to transform the region into a global economic and financial hub with a projected GDP of approximately one trillion dollars by 2052. The plan is 2052, built upon four pillars: a thriving economy, modern infrastructure, effective governance, and a human-centered city. To drive this growth, the administration is emphasizing investments in technology, human capital, and business-friendly policies. Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that while Lagos occupies only 0.45 percent of Nigeria’s landmass, it attracts between 60 and 70 percent of the nation’s foreign direct investment. Consequently, the state is working to simplify regulatory processes and improve land transaction efficiency to bolster investor confidence. Additionally, the government has introduced a new monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the long-term economic impact of completed projects.
