Italian long jumper Larissa Iapichino achieved significant milestones in her athletic career during September 2026. Initially, Iapichino set a new Italian national record with a jump of 7.12 meters, surpassing the previous record held by her mother, Fiona May. In the 800 meters, Francesco Pernici set a new Italian national record with a time of 1:42.67, finishing fifth in the final.
