Larissa youth crime arrests

Entities: 18‑year‑old accomplice (unnamed) · white‑gold chain · Two 20‑year‑old suspects (unnamed) · Electric scooter · minor victims

Overview

In late July 2026 Greek police in Larissa detained a group of youths for a series of violent offences. Two 20‑year‑olds, a minor and an 18‑year‑old, together with an unidentified accomplice, assaulted a 17‑year‑old pedestrian in an underground passage near the Prophet Elias area on the night of 29‑30 July, striking him in the face and forcing him to surrender a white‑gold chain. In a related incident at a nearby sports facility the same group stole an electric scooter from another minor who was playing basketball. The Larissa Crime Investigation Unit arrested the four named suspects on 30 July and opened separate case files for the robbery/assault and the scooter theft. All detainees have been remanded to the public prosecutor on charges of robbery, theft of the scooter and assault causing bodily injury to minors.
