LayerZero has expanded its blockchain infrastructure capabilities through new institutional tools and interoperability standards. Initially, the company unveiled ATLAS (Aggregated Trading Liquidity and Settlement), a headless exchange infrastructure layer built on the Zero Layer-1 blockchain. Designed for brokers and financial institutions, ATLAS integrates trade matching, clearing, and settlement into a single stack. The platform aims for high transaction speeds and utilizes the ZRO token for gas, governance, and security. Following this, Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered digital-asset bank, selected LayerZero as its interoperability partner for stablecoins. This partnership employs LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard to facilitate cross-chain transfers for regulated assets. Tether’s USAT became the first stablecoin to implement this standard, with plans to integrate other assets like Western Union’s USDPT to reduce fragmentation across various blockchain networks. Recent developments confirm that the integration of USAT aims to allow assets to move across blockchain environments without requiring isolated versions or “risky bridging methods.” Anchorage Digital expects further integrations, including Western Union’s USDPT and OSL’s USDGO. Following LayerZero has further extended its reach into the South Korean market through a partnership announcement, the with BDACS, a digital asset management firm. BDACS is utilizing LayerZero technology for KRW1, a stablecoin backed by the Korean won. These institutional expansions have coincided with significant market activity for the native ZRO token, ZRO, which recently saw significant market activity, with its price rising over 21% within a 16.46% surge in a 24-hour period. LayerZero’s infrastructure currently supports connectivity across more than 170 blockchain networks. period, approaching the $2 resistance level and reaching a market capitalization of nearly $677.98 million.
