Lontrell Williams Jr., known professionally as Pooh Shiesty, has filed an emergency motion through his attorneys to challenge his confinement at the Rolling Plains Regional Detention Center in Haskell, Texas. The legal team alleges that Williams is being held in solitary confinement for approximately 23 hours per day without a documented security justification, despite having no history of violent conduct or significant disciplinary infractions at the facility. Attorneys claim the isolation is negatively impacting Williams’ mental health, leading to increased anxiety and sleep difficulties. The motion also disputes visitation restrictions, asserting that the facility is limiting him to two hours of visitation per month, which allegedly falls below the Bureau of Prisons-guaranteed minimum of four hours. Prosecutors have opposed the request for improved conditions, arguing that Williams has access to a tablet for gaming and video calls. They further alleged that Williams previously tampered with monitoring equipment at a halfway house and noted that he allegedly admitted to using fentanyl during a court hearing. Defense attorney Schaffer has contested these claims, maintaining that the client remains in strict lockdown with no contact except with staff. Williams is currently awaiting trial related to an alleged January 10 confrontation at a Dallas recording studio. Prosecutors allege that Williams and several others used an AK-style pistol to force a victim to sign documents releasing him from a record contract, an incident that also reportedly involved the theft of cash, jewelry, and watches, as well as physical assault.
