Social media influencer Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, known as Blessing CEO, has been facing legal action brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding allegations of fraud and stealing. During court proceedings in October 2026, a witness testified that he paid N69,150,000 for a property lease in Lekki, Lagos, which was allegedly misrepresented as belonging to the defendant. The defendant has pleaded not guilty to charges of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. On October 24, 2026, Okoro was released from detention after spending four months in custody, including time at the Kuje and Kirikiri correctional centres. Her release followed periods where she was remanded after failing to meet certain bail terms. The legal challenges against her include a ₦36 million property fraud allegation, the ₦69.15 million tenancy fraud case, and a ₦13 million case involving the alleged falsification of cancer results to solicit donations. During her detention, Okoro reportedly experienced the loss of her second son to an asthma attack. Following her release, she addressed social media rumors regarding substance use, stating, ‘I don’t do drugs. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t even party.’ In a recent trial at the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja, prosecution witness Dr. Onuoha Okeigwe, a chiropractor, testified that Okoro falsely claimed to own a property. Dr. Okeigwe alleged she impersonated the actual owner to collect N69.15 million through physical interactions and WhatsApp conversations. He also disclosed a separate civil suit seeking to recover over N100 million spent on renovating the building for a medical facility. The trial has been adjourned until January 12, 2027.
