Warner Bros. Games and TT Games released LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on September 18, 2026. The title is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, with the latter supporting TV, handheld, and tabletop modes. The open-world action-adventure follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from his training with the League of Shadows to his emergence as Gotham City’s hero. Gameplay features a combat system utilizing combos, stealth, and detective skills, alongside vehicles such as the Batmobile and the Tumbler. Available in Standard and Deluxe Editions, the game includes a launch-day free update for all platforms that introduces an ‘Absolute’ difficulty mode. The Deluxe Edition provides access to the ‘Legacy Collection’ and the ‘Mayhem Collection DLC’ (also referred to as the ‘Chaos Collection DLC’). On September 20, 2026, the ‘Mayhem Collection’ was released, featuring a mission where The Joker and Harley Quinn escape Arkham Asylum to establish a customizable hideout at Amusement Mile, alongside the ‘Sinister Pack’ and the Jokermobile. On September 27, 2026, the title was highlighted as an ideal fit for the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. The console’s portability and standby functionality are noted as supporting a ‘Smart Play’ lifestyle, allowing players to engage in short, flexible sessions and return to the exact same point without the long, uninterrupted commitments often required by high-end PC or PlayStation gaming. By September 30, 2026, the game was characterized as an ‘ambitious entry in the LEGO gaming universe’ that covers various cinematic eras and famous moments from the character's history.
