LFA combat sports events in Brazil

Overview

The League of Fighting Association (LFA) has expanded its presence in Brazil through various combat sports events. In late July, the organization held LFA 238 in Brasília at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson, featuring a bantamweight main event between Herbeth Sousa and Paulo Portillo.

Following this, the LFA announced its debut in Minas Gerais, scheduled for September 11 at the Ginásio Mineirinho in Belo Horizonte. This event, LFA 241, will feature a fight for the vacant bantamweight world title between Vinicius Pires and Rafael Pereira. The title was vacated by former champion Artem Belakh. LFA CEO Ed Soares noted that Belo Horizonte has been a long-term target for the organization.
