While the book incorporates elements from the second season of the HBO show and provides significant spoilers for the franchise, HBO has not yet officially ordered a third season or announced a production date. Reports suggest indicate that potential scheduling conflicts among lead cast members—including Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, and Laura Dern—could delay filming until as late as 2028.
