The Liga BetPlay football league in Colombia has experienced several scheduling and venue adjustments. In early October, the match between Deportivo Independiente Medellín and Independiente Santa Fe was relocated to the Ditaires stadium in Itagüí and rescheduled to October 5 due to a concert at the Atanasio Girardot stadium. To address the venue change, officials announced the distribution of 5,500 free tickets through the DIM Plus app. Additionally, Dimayor postponed the match between Inter de Bogotá and Once Caldas due to weather conditions that prevented Once Caldas from traveling. The game was rescheduled for October 4 at the Metropolitano de Techo stadium. On October 13, Dimayor canceled a scheduled match between Millonarios FC and Once Caldas at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín stadium in Bogotá. The cancellation occurred shortly before the 8:30 p.m. kickoff due to the “lamentable state” of the playing field. Officials determined the pitch lacked the necessary leveling and consistency to ensure player safety, following recent BTS concerts held at the stadium on October 2 and 3. While the stadium administrator had assured the turf was suitable, inspections led to the cancellation. Bogotá Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán has called for an investigation by the IDRD into the stadium administrator, Sencia, for a possible breach of contract, describing the conditions as “inacceptable.” Sencia issued an apology to fans and pledged to address the issue. The IDRD is currently evaluating potential sanctions, which could include fines, economic discounts based on quality indicators, or the application of penalty clauses. The IDRD estimates the pitch may require five to ten days to recover, which could impact upcoming matches for Santa Fe and Millonarios. Millonarios has rescheduled its next match against Jaguares for October 17. Following instructions from Mayor Galán, the IDRD has officially initiated an administrative sanctioning procedure against Sencia S.A.S.
