Lil Duval Camp Duval film release

Overview

Lil Duval initiated a promotional six-city interactive tour for the independent horror-comedy film ‘Camp Duval: Ain’t Nobody Dying Today.’ The tour included a live podcast recording and film screening in Birmingham as part of a direct-to-consumer distribution strategy intended to bypass traditional Hollywood methods.

Following the tour, Lil Duval and Erica Duchess released the film, which has since been shown in AMC Theaters. In discussions regarding the project, the creators emphasized the importance of Black ownership in the entertainment industry and detailed the business strategies required to bring an independent production to major theater chains.
