The involvement of rapper Lil Yachty in WWE programming culminated during the first-ever Sunday edition of Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, 2026, at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. In the highly anticipated five-minute challenge, Lil Yachty successfully survived the time limit against United States Champion Baron Corbin. As a result of Yachty’s survival, Trick Williams secured a title opportunity, subsequently defeating Corbin to win the WWE United States Championship. The event, which opened with a performance by Atlanta native Quavo, also featured a match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. In that bout, Orton secured a victory following a “chaotic finish involving low blows and referee interference.” During the match, the rivalry between the two intensified, resulting in Rhodes leaving the ring bleeding after being struck with steel steps. Other results included Oba Femi defeating Bron Breakker via disqualification after Bronson Reed made a surprise return and attacked Femi with a steel chair. Following the attack, Reed and Breakker reportedly teamed up to assault Femi. Dominik Mysterio defeated Joe Hendry during the pre-show. The scheduled six-woman tag team match saw Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tatum Paxley compete against Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab. The special was broadcast on Peacock in the United States and via YouTube for international audiences.
