Limerick GAA has continued to report on club updates, championship results, and community initiatives throughout August. In early August, the Limerick County Board released a schedule of club matches across minor, junior, and senior levels for both hurling and football. Notable fixtures included Blackrock v Tory Gaels in hurling and Monagea v Cappamore in football. Individual recognition was also noted as Sam Collins was named addition to ongoing championship matches, the ~~Electric Ireland Minor Hurling Team~~ organization announced the return of the ~~Year 2026. In~~ Glór na nÓg initiative, a €100,000 community funding partnership between the ~~Premier Junior A Championship opener, Crecora/Manister defeated St Patricks 3-24 to 0-21. Club updates in early August included Croom~~ GAA ~~installing new flagpoles~~ and ~~flags, alongside hosting a Cúl Camp for children aged 6 to 13. In the Senior Hurling Championship, Ballybrown defeated Ahane 0-26~~ Amazon running from August 10th to ~~0-22, Na Piarsaigh beat Monaleen 4-25~~ September 21st. This program allows GAA members aged 10 to ~~2-18, and Mungret/St Pauls won over Patrickswell 2-19~~ 18 to ~~0-21. Dromcollogher/Broadford recorded a ~~3.25 to 3.12 victory~~ championship draw against ~~Croagh-Kilfinny. Championship results from August 9th and 10th included victories for Bruree over Mungret/St Pauls (1-23 to 1-14) and~~ Na Piarsaigh ~~over Hospital/Herbertstown (2-22 to 1-18)~~ in ~~the Intermediate category. In Premier Junior A, Castletown/Ballyagran defeated Kilmallock (3-21~~ Cappagh, overcoming a halftime deficit to ~~1-11), Tournafulla beat Croom (3-19~~ finish 2-13 to ~~1-18),~~ 2-9, with goals from Brian Ahern, Darragh Stack, and Sean O’Sullivan. In minor hurling, a semi-final between Monaleen ~~won against Askeaton/Ballysteen/Kilcornan (2-24 to 2-12).~~ and Na Piarsaigh was scheduled for broadcast on Limerick GAA TV. Other ~~results~~ scheduled fixtures included ~~Ballybricken/Bohermore defeating Bruff (2-19 to 1-16) in Junior A,~~ a football match between NCWG and ~~Ballybrown beating Garryspillane (3-17 to 1-10). Regarding organizational governance, a committee has been formed to ~~1-11) in Junior A. By mid-August, championship activity continued in~~ oversee the ~~Woodlands Junior C Hurling Championship, where Murroe/Boher defeated Adare 0-24 to 1-11.~~ appointment of the Limerick senior football manager for 2027. Chaired by Paddy Mulvihill, the committee includes Seamus McNamara, Wayne Fitzgerald, Gerry Philips, Stephen Lavin, and Muiris Gavin.
