Polish tennis player Linda Klimovicova has seen progress in recent tournament appearances. In late July, the 22-year-old reached the semi-finals of the $30,000 ITF World Tennis Tour event in Aldershot, United Kingdom, following a quarter-final victory over India’s Vaidehee Chaudhari. By late August, Klimovicova, then ranked 199th in the WTA, advanced to the second round of the US Open qualifying tournament after defeating the 22nd seed, Italy’s Lisa Pigato, in straight sets. However, her 2026 US Open qualifying campaign ended in the second round following a 3-6, 5-7 loss to the Netherlands’ Anouk Koevermans. During the match, Klimovicova reportedly struggled with physical issues, including pain in her right ankle and arm that required attention from a physiotherapist. Despite leading 4-2 in the second set, the loss prevented her from securing a spot in the Grand Slam’s main draw.
