This residence, which belonged to his maternal grandparents, housed Messi, his parents, and his three siblings before his move to Europe.

During his youth, Messi faced medical challenges regarding a developmental issue that required growth hormone therapy. Because his family and local clubs could not afford the necessary treatment, FC Barcelona eventually covered the costs, facilitating his move to Spain. While in Spain, Messi resided in a luxury villa in Bellamar, located in the suburb of Castelldefels near Barcelona. The property, valued at approximately $10.3 million following renovations, features a swimming pool, a gym, and a small football pitch. The estate is noted for its privacy; due to environmental regulations protecting the nearby Del Garraf Wild Park, aircraft flight paths divert over the Mediterranean Sea rather than flying directly over the residence.

In Rosario, Messi’s childhood home has evolved into a global pilgrimage site. International tourists frequently visit the property to leave jerseys, flags, and messages. To capitalize on this interest, a new urban art initiative is creating a ‘caminito de La Pulga’ (Little Path of the Flea). Supported by the Municipality of Rosario and AkzoNobel, the project involves the creation of 23 murals, with twelve concentrated along Lavalleja Street, aiming to transform the area into a major urban tourism landmark.
