In Cosenza, Mayor Franz Caruso issued condolences for the death of political community is mourning Pietro Midaglia, a former lawyer, professor, and historic figure of the Italian left. Midaglia served as the mayor of Sangineto and a former leader within was the first president of the PD provincial assembly in Cosenza. His political career spanned several eras, including membership in the Italian Communist Party. Party (PCI), the Democratic Party of the Left (PDS), the Democrats of the Left (DS), and the Democratic Party (PD). Local circles, such as the Cosenza PD Marica Zuccarelli Circle, praised him for his “political consistency, ethical example, and commitment to social justice and the development of the Mezzogiorno.”
