Loris Capirossi inducted into MotoGP Legend induction Hall of Fame
Loris Capirossi is set to be has been officially inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame as a ‘MotoGP Legend’ during a ceremony the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix at the Misano Grand Prix. World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The honor recognizes his career spanning was presented by MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta. Capirossi’s career, which spanned from 1990 to 2011, during which he secured included three world championships in titles: the 125cc championships in 1990 and 250cc classes. Capirossi holds 1991, and the record 250cc championship in 1998. His 1990 title established him as the youngest Grand Prix world champion in motorcycle racing history, winning the 125cc title in 1991 history at age 17. His career also included nine 17 years and 165 days. Across 328 Grand Prix victories in the premier class, notably securing starts, Capirossi achieved 29 victories, 99 podiums, and 41 pole positions. He is one of only five riders to win Grand Prix races with three different manufacturers: Honda, Yamaha, and Ducati.
