Los Angeles preparations for 2028 Olympics

By August 2026, the City Council moved to address the financial logistics of the event by approving an amendment to the Enhanced City Resources Master Agreement with the LA28 Organizing Committee. This deal outlines reimbursement processes for city services such as sanitation, traffic control, and public safety. The agreement provides the city access to a $270 million contingency fund and mandates an audit following the Games.
