Denmark has seen a series of significant lottery wins across various games. Historical major prizes include a 760 million DKK Eurojackpot win in Copenhagen in the summer of 2024, a 759 million DKK win in Blåvand, a 310 million DKK prize in Roskilde in 2021, and a 107 million DKK prize in Funen in 2022. More Recent developments include a man from Frederikssund Municipality who had his bank card blocked after winning one million kroner in the Lotto. The bank cited an ‘unusual spending pattern’ after the winner and his wife spent 38,000 DKK on high-end eyewear and smartphones, though the card was eventually reopened. In October 2026, a resident of Odense won 7.8 million DKK in the Eurojackpot. The winner reported using part of the prize to pay down his home mortgage and intends to use the remaining funds for travel, including trekking in Asia and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Other recent regional winners include individuals from Skive Municipality (1 million DKK) and Viborg Municipality (over 3.5 million DKK). In recent weekend draws, Danske Spil announced five million-kroner prizes totaling 5,445,151 tax-free kroner. During the Friday Eurojackpot draw, three winners in Kongens Lyngby, Charlottenlund, and Copenhagen S each secured third-tier prizes of 1,148,337 kroner. Because the jackpot was not hit, the pool has reached its maximum size of 750 million kroner for the next draw. Additionally, the Lotto Millionærchancen draw on Saturday produced two winners of 1,000,000 kroner each. One winning ticket was purchased at each, one from a kiosk in Langeskov on Funen, while and another via the other was won by a 17-participant shared syndicate known as ‘Spil Sammen Andel’. Andel’ syndicate.
