To mark the 10th anniversary of the Korean drama ‘Love in the Moonlight’, lead actor Park Bo-gum shared behind-the-scenes photos and a commemorative cake on social media. The celebration includes a reunion trip to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, involving the five main cast members: Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Kwak Dong-yeon, Jin Young, and Chae Soo-bin. A teaser trailer was released for a variety special titled ‘Moonlight Re-drawn’ (also referred to as ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds Again’), which premiered on KBS2 and streamed on Viu on September 16. The project was reportedly initiated by Park Bo-gum to commemorate the decade since the 2016 series aired. The special featured the cast on a youth-themed, two-day, one-night trip, where they participated in activities such as rafting and cooking. During the broadcast, the actors shared personal reflections and updates on their lives. Kim Yoo-jung recalled being 17 years old during filming and expressed how she once cried because she did not want to become an adult. Park Bo-gum expressed gratitude for the support he received from his co-stars during the original production. The cast also discussed physical changes over the decade. Park Bo-gum revealed that his weight has increased from 65kg during the drama's filming to his current weight of 76kg, while the group noted Jin Young's well-maintained physique, which remains around 66kg. The original series was noted for its significant popularity, reaching a peak viewership rating of 23.3% and maintaining the top spot in television topicality rankings for seven consecutive weeks. Expanding on the anniversary festivities, actors Park Bo-gum and Jin Young are releasing a remake of the iconic OST, ‘Misty Road’. Originally performed by BEN, the new version will feature Jin Young as a writer and composer, with proceeds intended for donation.
