Speculation regarding the personal life of Italian actors Luca Argentero and Cristina Marino began following paparazzi photographs in Formentera that suggested Marino was pregnant. On August 19, 2026, the couple officially confirmed they are expecting their third child, sharing a black-and-white beach photograph captioned, ‘La vita, ancora’ (Life, again). They subsequently criticized the loss of privacy caused by journalists publishing rumors before their official announcement. In September 2026, Argentero noted that his professional decisions are now guided by his family's needs, mentioning that Marino and their children relocated from Milan to Rome for six months to accommodate his work schedule. Regarding his return to the lead role in the Rai Fiction drama ‘Doc – Nelle tue mani’, Argentero described the process as ‘muscle memory’ and expressed interest in a potential fifth season if the storytelling remains high quality. The fourth season of ‘Doc’ premiered on October 1, 2026, on Rai 1 and RaiPlay. The 16-episode season follows Dr. Andrea Fanti’s return to the Policlinico Ambrosiano, where he faces tensions between patient-centered care and the economic pressures of hospital management, including staff cuts and resource shortages. The season also incorporates mystery elements, such as morphine thefts and investigations into hospital leadership. New plot developments include a professional and potentially romantic rivalry between Fanti and the new medical director, Stefano Campigli.
