Lucha Libre AAA concluded its dual-city Triplemanía 34 event, which featured a partnership with WWE. The first night in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena was marked by a disruption during a Mixed Relevos Australianos match when Lady Shani appeared to suffer a facial or eye injury and was attended to by medical staff before exiting the ring. The match proceeded, resulting in a pinfall victory for Mini Vikingo’s team. The second night in Mexico City saw significant championship changes. El Grande Americano defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new AAA Mega Champion. The match involved interference from Judgment Day members JD McDonagh and Liv Morgan, alongside Dorian Roldan and Omos; the title change was finalized when Rey Mysterio entered the ring to count the pinfall against his son. In the main event, La Hiedra defeated Faby Apache. Following the event, Dorian Roldan announced he would investigate Rey Mysterio, promising a major announcement on October 3. On the October 3 episode of AAA on FOX in León, Mexico, Dominik Mysterio secured a rematch for the AAA Mega Championship at the Héroes Inmortales event on October 24. During a tag team match where Dominik and Omos faced El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio, Dominik unmasked his father and struck Americano with the championship belt following a distraction by Dorian Roldán. At Héroes Inmortales XVIII on October 24 in Mexico City, El Grande Americano successfully defended the AAA Mega Championship against Dominik Mysterio. Despite interference from Omos and Dorian Roldán, and a mid-match intervention by Rey Mysterio against Mysterio—who used a chair to strike Omos and his son, the own son—the champion secured the victory. Other defenses at the event results included Los Perros del Mal Rey Fenix retaining the AAA World Trios Championship, and Cruiserweight Championship in an open challenge, La Catalina defending the Reina de Reinas Championship in a triple threat match. Championship, and Los Perros del Mal retaining the AAA World Trios Championship.
