Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched a four-day investment mission in Dubai to attract foreign direct investment and establish global industrial partnerships. The mission included participating in the AIM Congress 2026 and inaugurating an exhibition at Taj Dubai to showcase the state’s ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI) products, such as Chanderi sarees and Gwalior carpets. As the mission progressed, discussions focused on specific infrastructure and trade sectors. Chief Minister Yadav met with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi to agree on a joint mechanism for investment projects and a future investment roundtable. Key areas of interest included the development of the Powarkheda Logistics Composite Hub, green energy, pharmaceuticals, and electric vehicles. Additionally, talks with Lulu Group International Chairman Yusuff Ali M A addressed agricultural procurement, specifically the direct purchase of onions, wheat, and vegetables from the state. Following the three-day visit, the state secured investment proposals exceeding Rs 53,000 crore (approximately USD 6.3 billion) across sectors including green energy, artificial intelligence, healthcare, education, and logistics. Notable commitments include a Rs 35,200 crore proposal from Rana Holdings Limited for a 2,000 MW solar energy portfolio, a 200 MW green hydrogen plant, an AI and computing data centre, and a smart manufacturing hub. NIDI Services DMCC discussed an investment of approximately Rs 18,000 crore for an industrial-scale AI factory and compute campus. Furthermore, the Choithram Group plans to establish modern grocery-retail formats and cold-chain facilities, while GEMS Education expressed interest in establishing international K-12 school campuses in Indore and Bhopal.
