Overview

The protests officially ended after the state government announced a 50 percent increase and removed two police officers involved in the recent dispersal of protesters. While the Madhya Pradesh interns concluded their three-day sit-in, similar stipend-related protests were noted in Uttarakhand, where interns at Government Doon Medical College Hospital also secured an increase to ₹25,000, though postgraduate doctors there continued their own agitation.
