Magne B6 medication recall in Poland

Overview

The Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate in Poland has ordered a nationwide recall of a specific batch of the medication Magne B6. The recall targets the 60-tablet coated packaging, specifically batch number KV023 with an expiration date of December 2027.

Quality testing conducted by the National Institute of Medicaments indicated that the magnesium in this batch fails to release from the tablets within the required 90-minute timeframe. This failure to meet the magnesium release parameter may compromise the medication’s effectiveness and absorption.

Opella Healthcare Poland, the responsible entity, has disputed the findings, suggesting that the results might be due to “differences in laboratory equipment used during analysis.” Despite this dispute, the Inspectorate has maintained the recall mandate to ensure patient safety, halting distribution and requiring the withdrawal of the affected batch from all pharmacies and wholesalers.
