Filmmaker Prasanth Varma and RKD Studios have announced upcoming updates released a first glimpse for the mythological film ‘Mahakali’, an expansion of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). Actor titled ‘Shukracharya’s War Cry’. The teaser showcases Akshaye Khanna is set to make his debut in Telugu cinema, portraying the antagonist his role as Shukracharya, the guru of the Asuras. RKD Studios has teased a major announcement or first look scheduled for August 24, using the social media caption, “August 24—the end begins.” This reveal is expected to provide Asuras, featuring a glimpse of Khanna’s transformative appearance, which reportedly includes long white appearance with matted hair and a silver-white beard. The An expansion of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) following ‘Hanu-Man’, the film is directed explores a mythological conflict between the forces of Dharma and Adharma. Directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal. Duggal, the production has entered its final stages after a 125-day shooting schedule. The ensemble cast also includes Bhoomi Shetty and as Mahakali, alongside Rohit Saraf. Saraf, Sriya Reddy, and others. ‘Mahakali’ is slated for a theatrical release on January 8, 2027.
