World Squash President Zena Wooldridge noted that while the sport has secured its place for LA 2028, the governing body remains focused on maintaining its presence for future games, such as Brisbane 2032, by emphasizing the sport’s portability and low infrastructural demands. The national sepak takraw team, the ‘Golden Tigers’, also contributed to the medal tally. After ending a 36-year gold medal drought in the men’s team regu event by defeating Thailand 2-0, the squad added a silver medal in the regu event.
