The wave of youth‑linked knife knife‑related violence involving youths that began in June 2026 continued to unfold throughout July. On 19 July a 37‑year‑old man was critically stabbed injured in a stabbing on Weir Road in Balham, south London, after bystanders intervened, and members of the public drove the assailant away.
