The wave of youth‑linked knife knife‑related violence involving youths that began in June 2026 continued to unfold throughout July. On 19 July a 37‑year‑old man was critically stabbed injured in a stabbing on Weir Road in Balham, south London, after bystanders intervened, and members of the public drove the assailant away. The same day a 31‑year‑old man was found wounded with stab wounds on Peter Street in Manchester in what Manchester; police called described that incident as a targeted attack. The next following day a 16‑year‑old pupil was acquitted of attempted murder for a the February stabbing of his history teacher at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Wales; he was convicted found guilty of wounding with intent, intent and unlawful wounding, with sentencing slated set for 3 September.
