Manchester United midfield rebuild and ~~Baleba~~ injury ~~update~~ updates

Manchester United has completed a significant summer transfer overhaul, focusing heavily on reshaping its midfield under manager Michael Carrick. The club has committed over £360 million across recent recruitment drives for midfield and attacking positions. Key arrivals include Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion for £70 million, Andrey Santos from Chelsea for £48 million, and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa for £35 million. These acquisitions follow the departure of 24 players, including Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli, and address the loss of Casemiro and a serious knee injury to Manuel Ugarte. The squad also added goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a free transfer, alongside Tynan Thompson, Kit Margetson, and Cristian Orozco. Midfielder Carlos Baleba is nearing his debut after being sidelined by an ankle ligament injury sustained during pre-season. The 22-year-old Cameroon international recently participated in a closed-door match against Lausanne-Sport as part of his rehabilitation process. Baleba is expected to be available for United’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on October 10. ~~His return provides a potential boost~~ In addition to ~~Carrick’s midfield, which~~ Baleba, the club has ~~struggled with consistency and physical presence.
