Recent developments show a wider regional response to the earthquake damage. In Manizales, authorities are hosting a weekend of commercial reactivation across six urban points, including El Cable and Chipre, to support local entrepreneurs and the gastronomy sectors. A previous phase of this initiative reportedly generated over 300 million pesos in sales. In nearby Dosquebradas, the ‘DO RE MI’ fair has launched at the El Progreso Shopping Center to support approximately 50 affected businesses. A local diagnostic report indicates the earthquake impacted 2,328 companies, causing an estimated 170 billion peso loss and affecting 4,708 jobs. Notably, 87.8% of the affected businesses lack insurance.
