María Patiño television return and TEN debut

Overview

Journalist María Patiño has ended a nearly ten-month hiatus from television. Her return began with a guest appearance on the LaSexta program ‘Cara al show’, hosted by Marc Giró, where she was described as visibly emotional.

Following this appearance, it was announced that Patiño will host a new program titled ‘El Sótano Queen’ on the TEN network. The show, a rebranded version of ‘El Sótano Club’, follows the sudden departure of Alba Carrillo. The program is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 26, airing weekdays from 15:45 to 19:45 with an editorial focus on political, social, and celebrity news. Additionally, Patiño will serve as a collaborator on Marc Giró’s program on La Sexta.

During her debut as a substitute presenter for ‘El Sótano Queen’, Patiño noted feeling significant nerves due to her time away from the cameras and the challenge of adjusting to the show’s comedic elements. Her first broadcast was also marked by tension; Patiño issued an apology to a collaborator following a disagreement with influencer Marc Biarnés, also known as Nosoloviernes. The conflict occurred after Biarnés expressed a lack of interest in discussing specific topics, prompting Patiño to question his contribution to the program.
