Maracaibo urban sanitation technology deployment
Overview
The Maracaibo Mayor’s Office has launched its first two high-technology mechanical sweeping machines, named ‘La Parroquiana’ and ‘La Chiquinquireña’, to optimize urban sanitation along the city’s main roads.
These units operate at average speeds of 20 to 25 km/h and feature an automated system that includes a water spray system to prevent dust, central rotating brushes, and a vacuum suction system. The machines are equipped with a 750-kilogram capacity hopper for automated discharge. This deployment is part of an initial plan to acquire five mechanical sweepers to meet the municipality’s cleaning demands.
