Mariah Carey holiday season activities

Overview

Mariah Carey initiated the 2026 holiday season with the release of her annual “It’s time!” video. The production featured a creative shift from a punk rock aesthetic in a New York City bar to a traditional snowy winter landscape, concluding with her 1994 hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Following this release, the luxury fashion house Gucci launched its 2026 holiday campaign starring Carey. Directed by Harmony Korine, the campaign film is set in a luxury hotel where staff prepare for the singer’s arrival to the soundtrack of her signature holiday single. The collaboration features the Butterfly special collection, which utilizes iridescent prints, crystals, and metallic details inspired by Carey’s 1997 album.

The campaign showcases seasonal gifting selections, including the Starlet, Gucci Duffle, and GG Marmont bags, as well as footwear such as GG Monogram boots and Horsebit loafers. Carey appears in the campaign wearing high-value items, including a crystal-embroidered gown valued at approximately 17,400 to 19,500 euros.

During a private launch event at Gucci’s Fifth Avenue flagship in New York City, Carey was serenaded by an a cappella choir and distributed Gucci-branded chocolate boxes to guests. This partnership comes as Gucci seeks to bolster its seasonal presence following recent sales declines.
