The municipality of Maricá has implemented several educational and employment initiatives for its residents. Initial programs included free online courses in computational thinking and specialized training for professionals regarding rare syndromes and neurodevelopmental disorders in children. Following Expanding these educational efforts, the municipality expanded its outreach by offering utilized Sinee and the Casa do Trabalhador to offer over 200 job and internship vacancies across various sectors, including biomedicine vacancies. These roles cover sectors such as customer service, security, biomedicine, and language instruction. Additionally, the instruction for English, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese, targeting students, experienced professionals, and people with disabilities. The Qualifica Maricá program launched furthered local workforce development by opening registrations for 750 free professional qualification courses distributed across five regional hubs. hubs: Centro, Condado, Inoã, Itaipuaçu, and Ponta Negra. Specific vocational training includes construction industry courses in Itaipuaçu, such as training for carpenters, construction assistants, and warehouse keepers. Complementing these adult programs, the Casas da Juventude initiative provides vocational workshops for residents aged 15 to 29. These offerings focus on the digital economy and contemporary market demands, including artificial intelligence, e-sports, IoT, streaming, and audiovisual editing, alongside photography and various sports.
