Marta Mandaryna in Dancing with the Stars

Singer Marta ‘Mandaryna’ Wiśniewska is participating in the 19th season of the Polish version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ alongside dance partner Krystian Rzymkiewicz. During the competition, Mandaryna shared her personal history of living with diabetes, a condition diagnosed over 20 years ago. She used her platform to visit children in a hospital to discuss managing the disease with insulin pumps and sensors, describing the condition as a motivation to pursue high goals.

As the competition progresses, Mandaryna and Rzymkiewicz have received praise from judges. Following a high score of 34 points during Latino Night, her Viennese Waltz performance to ‘Once Upon A Dream’ also earned praise from judge Tomasz Wygoda. Despite the technical challenges of ballroom dancing, Mandaryna has expressed a strong desire to avoid elimination. Her participation has also drawn media attention regarding her relationship with musician Michał Wiśniewski, who has been a visible supporter. Additionally, Mandaryna’s children, Xavier and Fabienne, have been frequent supporters in the audience.

In the eighth episode, which featured a Disney theme, the competition introduced a boogie-woogie marathon to grant immunity from elimination. Piotr ‘Guma’ Gumulec and partner Julia Suryś won this challenge, securing a guaranteed spot in the following episode. Following the marathon and individual dances, a sudden-death runoff was held between three couples: Dominik Smaruj and Magdalena Tarnowska, Mandaryna and Krystian Rzymkiewicz, and Jasper Sołtysiewicz and Daria Sytą-Grobelna. The jury reached a unanimous decision to eliminate Smaruj and Tarnowska, allowing Mandaryna and Rzymkiewicz to continue in the competition. Smaruj noted that while he and Tarnowska did not have an immediate ‘click’ at the start, they worked hard to build professional synergy.
