Matières Fécales Spring/Summer 2027 collection debut

The fashion label Matières Fécales, founded by Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran, presented its Spring/Summer 2027 “99%” collection during Paris Fashion Week. Held at Place de la République, the runway show featured 94 looks divided into three segments: Family, Tribe, and Gods. The collection utilized blue, white, and red colors to symbolize French values and included leather pieces created in collaboration with Christian Louboutin.

Bhaskaran noted the collection seeks to celebrate marginalized communities and immigrants, with a portion of sales proceeds intended to support LGBTQIA+ refugees seeking housing in France.

The show drew significant attention due to the presence of high-profile celebrities, including Rihanna, who wore an avant-garde metallic ensemble. Her look featured a textured, gold or terracotta-tinted suit consisting of a structured blazer and a midi skirt, paired with Christian Louboutin heels from the brand’s specific collaboration. Her appearance, following previous celebrity endorsements for figures such as Zendaya and Gabbriette, has contributed to discussions regarding the brand’s growing influence within the Parisian fashion scene.

Her unannounced appearance at the experimental label's show was noted as a major highlight of the week, complementing the brand’s dark, futuristic aesthetic.
