Since early June, the Fundação do Trabalho de Mato Grosso do Sul (Funtrab) has worked to protect workers from fraud while expanding employability services. After warning the public that fraudsters were misusing its name to solicit illegal payments for jobs, Funtrab participated in the “Promo Centro” event in Campo Grande, providing free guidance on unemployment insurance and digital work cards. Vocational training initiatives have expanded significantly through various municipal secretariats. In June, the Funsat Foundation hosted a job fair at its Moreninhas hub featuring 500 vacancies and completed its first free barber-training cohort. Concurrently, the Youth Secretariat (Sejuv) graduated 24 participants from a manicure and pedicure course at CRAS Albino Coimbra. In late July, the Secretaria Executiva da Mulher (Semu) conducted crochet training for 30 women in the Santa Luzia and Los Angeles districts to foster entrepreneurship. This momentum continued into August, when Semu certified 340 women through its training school (Escap) at CRAS Aero Rancho. These certifications recognized training in fields such as Administrative Assistant, Eyebrow Design, Public Speaking, Manicure and Pedicure, Crochet, Embroidery, and Event Organization. In September, Semu expanded its offerings by opening registrations for new courses aimed at fostering autonomy and entrepreneurship. These include a manicure and pedicure course at Cras Valéria Lopes da Silva in Vila Popular, and a program titled ‘Mulheres com Presença – Comunicação, Oratória e Postura’ (Women with Presence – Communication, Oratory, and Posture) at the Semu ~~headquarters, which focuses on developing verbal and non-verbal communication and self-confidence for professional and leadership roles. By early September, Semu’s efforts in Campo Grande included a~~ headquarters. Additionally, Semu completed a crochet workshop for 20 mothers at the Girassol Special Education ~~Center, designed~~ Center. In early September, the Fundo de Apoio à Comunidade (FAC) in Campo Grande began promoting creative economy workshops using recycled materials to ~~provide therapeutic benefits~~ teach sustainability and ~~supplemental income.~~ entrepreneurship.
