In Mato Grosso, authorities have implemented new measures to support rural women and address domestic violence. Through a joint ordinance, the State Secretariat of Family Agriculture, the Civil House, and the Secretariat of Social Assistance and Citizenship are deploying mobile services, such as the ‘Van Rosa’ unit, to farming communities to provide legal information and support. Additionally, the municipality of Nova Mutum has introduced a personal defense program offering martial arts training to victims of domestic violence. Separately, the Mato Grosso Civil Defense has responded to severe weather emergencies. Heavy rains and windstorms, which exceeded monthly averages in municipalities including Colíder, Gaúcha do Norte, and Rosário Oeste, caused roof collapses and fallen trees. ~~Humanitarian aid, including~~ Data from NASA’s IMERG program and the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) indicate rainfall levels significantly exceeded the monthly average of 75 mm; specifically, Gaúcha do Norte recorded 115 mm, Rosário Oeste 110 mm, and Colíder 90 mm.
