Medical professionals are providing information regarding the diagnosis, symptoms, and nature of lymphoma. Experts have noted that lymphoma is a heterogeneous group of hematological diseases rather than a single condition, distinguishing it from typical cancers because it lacks a single primary site of origin and does not usually require surgery for therapeutic purposes.

In Spain, estimates suggest approximately 12,000 new cases will be diagnosed in 2026, while in Turkey, approximately 7,300 people are diagnosed annually. Specialists emphasize that lymphoma can affect both adults and children and can be categorized into Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin types, with over 70 distinct subtypes.

Medical experts are stressing the importance of early diagnosis and noting that a biopsy is essential for definitive identification. Key warning signs include painless swelling in the neck, armpits, or groin, unexplained fever, night sweats, sudden weight loss, and fatigue. While progress in personalized medicine is increasing possibilities for long-term control, experts warn that a normal blood test does not rule out the disease.
