Melikgazi Municipality in Kayseri has implemented several local infrastructure and service improvements. In September 2026, the municipality began a renovation project for pedestrian walkways on Millet and Nazmi Toker Streets, replacing old stones with basalt to improve safety and aesthetics. The project covers 2,100 meters in length and 7,500 square meters, with construction primarily occurring at night to minimize disruption to local businesses. Following this, in October 2026, the municipality launched a digital service portal to allow residents to manage access to social and sporting facilities. During the same month, the municipality expanded its technological and social infrastructure. At Çarşı Melikgazi, a technology program was hosted featuring the humanoid robot MEGA, drone football, and flight simulations, alongside an award ceremony for TEKNOFEST winners Cyclo-Gen and Enrg-Hard. Additionally, the municipality opened the Kıranardı Social Life Center, a collaborative project with local philanthropists. This center houses the İsmail Tekin Akıl Küpü Library, the Mehmet Sönmez Family Health Center, and the Atölye Melikgazi workshop space. In late October 2026, the municipality inaugurated the Asım-Türkan Balcı Family Health Center (ASM) and a 112 Emergency Station in the Bahçelievler neighborhood. This new facility was established following the conversion of a previous health center into the Forensic Medicine Group Presidency and will be staffed by 11 personnel. Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu noted that the municipality has previously contributed approximately 30 schools, 18 libraries, and 3 technology workshops to the district, with future plans to establish build additional health facilities in Esenyurt, Gökkent, and İldem, as well as new technology and foreign trade high schools.
