Mendoza education administrative and digital reforms

The Dirección General de Escuelas (DGE) in Mendoza, Argentina, has implemented several administrative and digital reforms to its educational framework.

Initially, the DGE issued Resolution No. 4613 to restructure early childhood education, specifically redefining the organization of Jardines de Infantes Exclusivos (JIE) and Jardines de Infantes Nucleados (JIN). These changes, which respond to declining birthrates and reduced enrollment for children aged 3–5, establish new requirements for school sections and geographic groupings. Additionally, Resolution No. 4590 established a “protected schooling regime” to prevent student dropout by providing individualized accompaniment plans and allowing for virtual classes under specific conditions.

Following these structural changes, the DGE launched a redesigned Educational Portal. This digital platform is intended to streamline access to pedagogical resources, interactive materials, and institutional information for students, teachers, administrators, and families through specialized sections such as ‘Aprender’ (Learn) and ‘Enseñar’ (Teach).
