Jaguar’s ultra-luxury EV programme has progressed from the Type 00 concept to the camouflaged Type 01 prototype. The Type 01, recently tested in Monaco, incorporates Formula E technology and is slated for a public reveal around mid-October. Built on the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform, the GT-styled car delivers over 1,000 hp from three electric motors, targeting rivals like Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its high-performance electric offerings and SUV lineup. The AMG GT 53 4-Door Coupe, the entry-level model in the all-electric GT family, has been unveiled in Europe. It features 544 hp, 800 Nm of torque, and a 106 kWh battery providing a WLTP range of up to 809 km. Higher-tier GT 63 variants are expected to reach outputs as high as 1,169 hp. Mercedes-AMG is also developing its first exclusive electric high-performance SUV on the AMG.EA platform, with a formal presentation anticipated around the Paris Motor Show. In the sedan segment, Mercedes-AMG has opened orders for the all-electric CLA 45 4MATIC+ in Europe. In Poland, this model features three axial flux motors producing 680 hp, enabling 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 2.7 seconds. It utilizes an 800 V system with 330 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in 22 minutes, charging and offers a WLTP range of up to 670 km. The interior features a triple-screen setup under a single glass pane and includes an ‘AMGFORCE S+’ mode to simulate combustion engine haptics and sound. In the ultra-exclusive segment, the Mythos Series CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung has been unveiled. Limited to 30 units—all reportedly sold prior to debut—this model is built on the CLE 53 platform. It features a 646 hp twin-turbo V8, a rear-wheel-drive configuration, and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust. To prioritize performance, the vehicle underwent a weight reduction of approximately 170 kg through the use of carbon fiber and the removal of hybrid systems and all-wheel drive. The interior is stripped of typical luxury amenities, featuring racing-style bucket seats and a roll cage.
