Jaguar’s electric rollout has accelerated. The ultra‑luxury Type 00 concept, shown at Miami Art Week, carries an estimated 1,000 hp, 0‑60 mph under three seconds, a 430‑mile WLTP range and an 800 V architecture, with production slated for late 2025 for the 2026 model year. The camouflaged Type 01 prototype displayed at Goodwood confirms a three‑motor, 735 kW (1,000 hp) powertrain, 120 kWh battery, up to 692 km range and a target price of US$130‑150 k, with the production version to be unveiled in New York in October 2026 and deliveries the following year. Jaguar also plans a four‑door GT concept exceeding 1,000 hp and 1,300 Nm, reinforcing its shift to an ultra‑luxury EV niche. Mercedes‑Benz has broadened its high‑performance electric portfolio. The all‑electric AMG GT 4‑Door Coupé, delivering 860 kW (1,169 hp) and a 690 km WLTP range, sold out its 2026 production slots within 24 hours and will begin deliveries in early 2027. An electric C‑Class (C 400 4MATIC, 360 kW) and a top‑end AMG C‑63 (≈800 hp) are slated for 2027, while the brand revived V8 power with the updated flat‑plane M177 EVO 4.0‑L V8 in the GLE 63 S and GLS 63 SUVs (612 hp, 48 V mild‑hybrid) for 2026‑2027, and again for 2027 models meeting Euro 7 standards. Mercedes‑AMG announced a major expansion of 27 new models, concentrating on a new V8 and six‑cylinder family and adding fully electric offerings, notably the 680‑hp CLA 45 (three‑motor, 94 kWh, 670 km range) and its Shooting‑Brake variant.
